Sunbelt League Batting Champion Jeremy Glore Honored By Crackers

Jeremy Glore is honored by the Crackers

Former Tusculum University and Cracker player Jeremy Glore was honored Wednesday night on the field prior to the game against Gainesville. Glore was also announced as the newest member of the Cracker Hall of Fame.

Glore, a versatile and athletic player who primarily played the outfield, was known as a “blue collar” type player who worked all the time to improve his game. Glore was known for his inside out slashing swing from the left side. He hit .368 in 2016 and .361 in 2017 winning the Sunbelt League batting title.

What is overlooked the most was his remarkable defensive play over those years. Glore made it look easy according to manager Kevin Meistickle. “I don’t think he ever made a defensive mistake in the three years he was here. He always knew the right throw to make, where to position himself in the field. A strong and very accurate arm. Just an underrated defender because he was nearly perfect”.

Coach Steve Autry on Glore; “One of my favorite things about Jeremy is that he provided a quiet but firm leadership role on our teams the years he played. You’d often see him counseling other players who might’ve been struggling and would usually give them an encouraging word or a pat on the back. Such a hard worker. Just a great teammate. Just a great person. So proud of Jeremy.”

Glore currently resides in Las Vegas Nevada where he works in commercial real estate and serves in the United States Army Reserves.
